No. 13 Georgia def. No. 4 USC 4-3
The second huge upset of the day came from Georgia. They've recently dismissed their assistant coach and we thought they might be a little distracted, plus they lost to USC 0-4 back in February. It looked like USC had a straight shot to the semis because they would have faced UCLA in the Elite 8 and the Bruins are without their top player, Gage Brymer. Instead, the Dawgs will take on the Bruins in the quarterfinals on May 20.

No. 3 Ohio State def. No 14 Oklahoma 4-3
Ohio State barely came away with this match. This was almost the biggest upset of the day. It came down to a third set tiebreak on line 2. Freshman JJ Wolf vs. decorated senior, Andrew Harris. Harris was behind 5-6 and tied it up at 6-6 in the third to send it to a tiebreak. JJ Wolf stayed so calm and played exactly how he was supposed to. The freshman clinched the match to send his team to the quarterfinals.
