The first round of the NCAA tournament should be pretty cut and dry. The disparity between the top 16 No. 1 seeds and No. 4 seeds is significant. We don't expect any upsets in the first round there… but since this is the NCAA tournament, teams come out of the woodwork and play out of their minds so anything is possible.

However, there are some interesting first-round matchups between No. 2 and No. 3 seeds that could go either way.

Coming in at No. 2 on the list is...

No. 33 Florida State vs. No. 39 Arkansas

This is a pretty even matchup. Florida State and Arkansas have both played Florida. The Seminoles beat the Gators 4-2, while the Razorbacks fell to the UF 4-3. Both teams have barely lost to teams inside the top 20. Florida State lost 4-3 to No. 18 Mississippi State, and Arkansas fell to No. 12 Georgia 4-3.

The Razorbacks are led by ninth-ranked Mike Redlicki and also have No. 39 Jose Salazar. Together those two make up the No. 6 doubles team in the nation.

However, Arkansas lacks depth and beyond those two players, the Razorbacks don't have any solid winning doubles teams or singles players consistent enough to make them into a top team.

Florida State has three ranked singles players and two ranked doubles teams. While Arkansas hold an advantage at lines one and two, FSU is fully capable of taking the other four singles matches.

The Razorbacks definitely have what it takes to beat Florida State, but it's going to be a close one. This match is kind of a tossup, but I think the Razorbacks can pull off the upset, only if they get the doubles point as a buffer in the beginning though.

PREDICTION: Arkansas def. Florida State 4-3

Other matchups on the list:
5) No. 32 Kentucky vs. No. 40 Georgia State
4) No. 22 South Florida vs. No. 35 Duke
3) No. 24 Oregon vs. No. 34 Memphis
