Murray Overcomes Conditions to Win in Straight Sets
Defending gold medalist Andy Murray moved into the second round at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics without much trouble.
The second-seeded Murray, coming off his second Wimbledon championship last month, beat Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-3, 6-2 in less than 1½ hours Sunday under heavy clouds.
Britain's Murray had zero trouble with the wind, limiting himself to 21 unforced errors, about half as many as Troicki's 40.
Murray and his older brother Jamie are scheduled to play doubles later Sunday.
